Abstract

The work provides insights, from the perspective of canon law, regarding the new reflection on the care of creation, by focusing on its specific reflection in the context of leadership and of the governance of the Church. First of all, the article analyses the main content of the norms that refer to the qualities of those who carry out leadership functions, as well as of other norms that deal with governance; then, it defines and summarises the main principles of the magisterial reflection on the care of creation; lastly, it specifies the possible relation between the teachings of the Magisterium themselves and the canonical norms related to leadership and governance, by indicating some possible connections.

Keywords: Creation; Magisterium; Canon Law; Norma missionis.
